Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Wizuto website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Wizuto LLC ("Wizuto," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Who Can Use Wizuto

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

1.2 Worldwide Availability

Wizuto is intended for use worldwide, but availability may vary and the Service is not offered where prohibited by law. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with local laws and regulations.

1.3 Sanctions and Export Controls

You may not use the Service if you are located in a country or region subject to U.S. sanctions or if you are on any U.S. government restricted-party list. You may not use the Service in violation of export control laws.

2) The Service and Important Safety Disclaimers

2.1 Informational Use Only (No Professional Advice)

Wizuto provides informational guidance related to automotive diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Wizuto is not a repair shop, mechanic, inspection station, towing service, emergency service, or professional advisor. The Service may provide incorrect, incomplete, or unsafe suggestions.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying steps using official service information (OEM manuals, TSBs, recall notices)
  • Using appropriate tools, parts, torque specifications, and safety equipment
  • Deciding whether to attempt any repair or modification

2.2 High-Risk Situations — Stop and Seek Professional Help

Stop using the vehicle and consult a qualified professional (or emergency services if needed) for issues involving:

  • Brakes, steering, suspension failure risk
  • Airbags/SRS systems
  • Fuel leaks, brake fluid leaks, or strong fumes
  • Overheating, smoke, burning smells, or electrical arcing
  • Loss of power at speed or unsafe drivability
  • Any situation where operating the vehicle may be dangerous

2.3 No Warranties About Outcomes

You understand that following guidance from the Service may result in property damage, vehicle damage, injury, or death. You assume all risks from using the Service.

3) Accounts, Plans, and Access

3.1 Visitor Use

Visitors may use limited features without creating an account. Threads created by visitors are public by default (see Section 4).

3.2 Free Accounts

Free account users may access additional features. Threads created by free users are public by default (see Section 4).

3.3 Paid Subscriptions (Plus and Pro)

Paid subscribers may receive additional features and may have the option to create private threads. Features and limits may vary by plan and may change over time.

3.4 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@wizuto.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4) Threads, Public Posting, and Privacy Choices

4.1 Public Threads (Visitors and Free Users)

Threads created by visitors and free account users are public by default. Public threads may be indexed by search engines, shared by other users, and visible to anyone.

4.2 Your Responsibility for What You Post

Do not submit:

  • Personal identifying information (address, phone, personal email, etc.)
  • Vehicle identifiers such as VINs, license plate numbers, insurance details, registration documents, or account numbers
  • Any sensitive personal or financial information
  • Anything you do not want to be public

4.3 Private Threads (Paid Users)

Paid users may create private threads where enabled. Private threads are visible only to you (and those you authorize, if supported). Wizuto may access private threads only as needed for moderation, safety, abuse prevention, compliance, analytics, and support.

4.4 Removal and Moderation

Wizuto reserves the right to remove, restrict, or disable access to any content for any reason, including violations of these Terms, safety concerns, legal compliance, or to maintain community quality.

5) Community Guidelines and Commenting Rules

Wizuto's community exists to be automotive-focused, helpful, accurate, and respectful.

5.1 Be Helpful and On Topic

Comments and posts must be relevant to the thread and intended to help diagnose, repair, maintain, or upgrade vehicles.

5.2 Strict Moderation

We may apply strict moderation, including removing content, restricting participation, limiting visibility, suspending accounts, or blocking access to keep discussions high-quality and automotive-focused.

5.3 Prohibited Content and Behavior

You may not post or share content that:

  • Is hateful, harassing, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
  • Encourages unsafe behavior, reckless driving, or dangerous stunts
  • Is spam, scam, phishing, deceptive marketing, or unrelated promotion
  • Attempts to exploit, dox, or share personal data of any person
  • Contains malware or interferes with the Service
  • Infringes intellectual property rights
  • Is otherwise illegal or harmful

5.4 Explicitly Restricted Automotive Topics (Not Allowed)

You may not request, provide, or share instructions, guides, tools, links, or advice related to:

  • Emissions deletes / defeat devices, catalytic converter removal, tampering with emissions controls, or bypassing inspection requirements
  • Odometer tampering or mileage manipulation
  • Bypassing or disabling airbags/SRS, seatbelt pretensioners, or other safety restraint systems
  • Immobilizer bypass, key programming, or theft-enabling instructions, including methods that could facilitate vehicle theft or unauthorized access
  • Street racing / illegal performance modifications intended for unlawful use on public roads

Wizuto may remove content and restrict accounts for any attempt to engage in these topics.

6) User Content: Ownership and License to Wizuto

6.1 You Own Your Content (But You Grant Us a License)

You retain ownership of content you submit (text, images, files, comments, and other materials—"User Content"). However, to operate and improve the Service, you grant Wizuto a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and display), publish, display, distribute, and create derivative works of your User Content, including to create and display public threads.

This license:

  • Applies to public content you post (including visitor and free user threads)
  • Applies to private content only as needed to provide the Service, support, safety, and moderation

6.2 You Promise You Have the Rights

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit User Content and grant the license above.

6.3 Feedback

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant Wizuto the right to use it without restriction or compensation.

7) Acceptable Use, Security, and Platform Integrity

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content in a way that harms the Service
  • Reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Service
  • Attempt to bypass limits (rate limits, anti-bot measures, subscription gates)
  • Use automated tools to spam or mass-post
  • Use the Service to develop or train competing models/services using scraped Wizuto content

8) Affiliate Links and Monetization Disclosure

Wizuto may include links to third-party products (parts, tools, services). Some links may be affiliate links, meaning Wizuto may earn a commission if you purchase through them—at no additional cost to you.

Wizuto does not guarantee third-party product availability, pricing, fitment, quality, or performance. You are responsible for verifying compatibility and safety.

9) Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds

9.1 Billing

Paid plans are billed as a monthly subscription unless otherwise stated. Your subscription renews automatically until canceled.

9.2 Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then.

9.3 No Refunds

All fees are non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law, including for partially used billing periods. You may cancel to prevent future charges.

9.4 Price and Plan Changes

We may change prices, plan features, or limits over time. Changes apply to future billing cycles. We will provide notice as required by law.

10) Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may integrate or link to third-party services (such as payment processors, analytics providers, hosting providers, and AI providers). Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms. Wizuto is not responsible for third-party services.

11) Intellectual Property

Wizuto and its licensors own the Service, including software, design, branding, and content provided by Wizuto ("Wizuto Content"). You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of Wizuto Content except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

12) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We believe your activity is harmful, unsafe, abusive, or illegal
  • We need to comply with legal obligations or maintain platform integrity

You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that should survive termination will survive, including safety disclaimers, limitation of liability, and the User Content license.

13) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WIZUTO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.

WIZUTO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED OR THAT ANY GUIDANCE WILL BE CORRECT OR SAFE.

14) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WIZUTO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WIZUTO'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

  • THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO WIZUTO IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR
  • $50 USD

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

15) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wizuto and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable law

16) Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, excluding its conflict of law rules. You agree that any dispute not subject to arbitration will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

17) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll provide notice as required by law. Your continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
