200,000 miles. I had some squeking noise and brought the car to the mechanic 6 months ago. They said one of the two front brake pads were very worn, but the other was in good shape. Now, about once in every 5 times driving I smell burnt rubber and the Jeep seems to slow down as if it's braking when I take my foot of the gas. This doesn't happen everytime.

I have a 2016 Silverado 5.3. In Park/Neutral it idles fine. When I put it in Drive/Reverse and hold the brake, idle drops to about 300–400 rpm and I hear a whining noise. As soon as I start driving or even just let off the brake so it creeps, idle returns to normal and the whine stops. Throttle body was cleaned and relearned. Unplugging the MAF makes it stall. No check engine light and no codes.

2007 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L V8 Misfire and No Start Issues
I have a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with a 5.3l V8. Started misfiring while driving down the highway. No start condition after turning off. Occasionally it will start but very rough idle with misfires. Initially had a P0320 code. Also noted misfires in 2,3 and 7. Replaced the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors. I also moved ignition coils around from cylinders not misfiring. No improvement. Now have a P0230, P0300, and P0106. Same condition. I tested the fuel pump relay with a OBD device and could hear the fuel pump acitvate. I know the fuel pump has been replaced within the last 2 years. I am not too familiar with fuel issues and diagnosing them. I wouldn’t think injectors would go bad in 3 cylinders at once. Maybe fuel delivery. To me it’s weird why that combination of cylinders would misfire. I am spiraling and think maybe I have a bad lifter failure but I wanted to try and rule everything else out first.

2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ Speedometer Not Working After NP231 Gear Swap
I need some input. I swapped the NP231 speedometer drive gear from a 34-tooth to a 31-tooth for my new 33” tires. I’m pretty sure it’s installed right, but now the speedometer doesn’t read anything at all—it doesn’t move. I tried clocking the housing both clockwise and counterclockwise and wiggling it. When I install it, I don’t feel the gear “engage” the transfer case shaft like people describe. It worked perfectly until the moment I swapped it. Now the old 34-tooth gear doesn’t work either. It’s a 2006 TJ. Everything is cleaned and the sensor seems to spin freely, so I’m wondering if the sensor magically died. I didn’t change the O-ring; it fits snug, and RockAuto didn’t include one and won’t ship one to Germany.

Very curious electrical issue. 2016 328ix Wagon. My aftermarket carplay screen from bimmerdirect freezes then totally bricks when I hit higher RPMs (5k+). I've swapped the screens already and same issue. slowly ramping up the rpms doesn't seem to effect it as much as hammering the throttle which will guarantee a frozen screen.

I have a 2006 Audi S4 (4.2L V8) and I’m getting code P0346. I tore into the engine because of the code and found Bank 2 timing was off, so I corrected the timing and, while I was in there, replaced the cam adjusters and the VVT solenoids. After reassembly, the car starts but it immediately sets the same P0346 code, as if nothing changed. I’ve checked continuity from the cam sensor to the ECU, and I’ve replaced the camshaft position sensor twice with no change. I’m looking for the most likely remaining causes and the best diagnostic steps to figure out why P0346 is still coming back after correcting Bank 2 timing and replacing those parts.
2004 Ford F350 6.0 Powerstroke Hard Start and Hot No-Start Issue
I have a late-2004 Ford F-350 6.0 Powerstroke and I’m stuck chasing a hard start / hot no-start that has turned into an intermittent no-start. About two months ago it started hard-starting, so I changed the oil and filter using a new OEM filter and cap. A month later it developed a hot no-start. Since then I’ve replaced the stand pipes and dummy plugs, installed a new ICP sensor and wiring, and installed a new OEM IPR valve and wiring. I bled the air out of the oil rails and it ran fine for about 25 miles, but after sitting for 12 hours it wouldn’t start. I then found the oil return tube in the oil filter housing was broken, replaced it, and installed new batteries. It eventually started and ran perfectly for another 25 miles. After parking at home, it restarted once (after 10–15 seconds of cranking) and briefly ran like it had a misfire, then smoothed out. After shutting it off again, it now won’t start at all. Current data/notes: During cranking, IPR duty cycle shoots to ~84% ICP voltage KOEO is ~0.25V While cranking: ICP pressure is ~150 PSI hot, and ~400–490 PSI cold after sitting The low-pressure oil pump appears to build pressure, but not enough to fire Brand new FICM installed ~3 weeks ago; FICM shows 48V (main) I air-checked both the IPR and ICP ports with shop air and didn’t hear any obvious leaks I’m trying to avoid throwing more parts at it. Based on these symptoms and readings, what are the most likely causes and the best next diagnostic steps for a 6.0 that cranks but won’t start, with high IPR % and low ICP pressure?

I have a 2013 Audi Q7 3.0 TDI with about 151k miles. It had been sitting for roughly 2 years. After draining/using up the old diesel, it started and initially ran fine. Now, when I press the accelerator, it will go into limp mode, fuel pressure drops, and the engine shuts off. At this point it won’t start at all. I replaced the fuel metering valve/regulator N290, but it didn’t change anything. I didn’t see metal shavings in the HPFP, but I did notice some dirt/contamination in the fuel system. Earlier I had codes for fuel pressure sensor range, fuel pressure too low, and fuel pressure too high. Now it only sets low fuel pressure faults and still won’t start. The in-tank/primary fuel pump appears to be working, and it doesn’t sound like the engine jumped timing. What are the most likely causes and best diagnostic steps for a no-start with low fuel pressure on a 3.0 TDI after sitting, especially with contamination present?

I have a 2021 Chevy Silverado 5.3L with a consistent misfire on cylinder #5. I’ve already replaced the plug wires and the spark plug (the old plug was consistently fuel-soaked). I swapped the coil pack with cylinder #3 and the misfire stayed on #5. I also replaced injector #5. I can visibly see spark when testing the coil while it’s running, and compression on #5 while cranking is about 160 psi. Given these results, what are the most likely remaining causes and the next best diagnostic steps to isolate why cylinder #5 is still misfiring?

I have a 2004.5 Ford F-250. Injector #4 failed, so I replaced the injector and reassembled everything correctly and torqued to spec. Since the repair, the truck will not start using the key. When I try to start it normally, I’m seeing about 130–200 RPM while cranking. Both batteries are new and fully charged, and I’m using a 6.7 starter. The truck will start if I jump/trigger it from the starter wire under the hood, but it won’t start from the ignition key. I have a 2013 BMW X1 with repeated cooling system failures. The radiator has blown out on the left side twice, even after replacing major cooling components (radiator, water pump, thermostat, and a temp sensor). After the first round of repairs the car ran well and the heater worked normally, but then a small leak developed again on the left-side hose area and shortly after that the left side of the radiator failed again. A previous owner mentioned the car had an aftermarket tune/chip at one point but said it was returned to stock before selling.
